W. Wright Obituary

Franklin - William Donnie Wright, 73, passed away on September 21, 2022 in his home with family by his side. Donnie grew up in Como, NC and was a son of the late David Edgar Wright, Sr. and Hazel Vann Wright.

Donnie was a 1967 graduate of Murfreesboro High School and a former Virginia National Guardsman. He was the co-owner of Franklin Transportation and a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

Since his retirement his passion was his grandchildren and was affectionately known as "Little Buddy" by his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Nancy Vaughan Wright; two daughters, Missy W. Blythe and Angie W. Edwards; two sons-in law, Ben Blythe and Richard Edwards; a sister, Linda Eure; a brother, David E. Wright, Jr. (Lou Ann); five grandchildren, Ashlyn Edwards (Connor Whitehurst), Brett Edwards, Clayton Blythe, Shannon Blythe, and Jacque Joll; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3PM Monday, September 26, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Hoyle Green officiating. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to your local animal shelter.
