Calvin and Shirlyn Baker, first became acquainted with Mr. Brown during the Baltimore Summer Corp work program for high school students. He and his late wife became mentors for us. The life lessons learned from them were invaluable. We were so blessed to have continued our relationship with him after attending UMBC. May God bless his family and he will live in our hearts forever. With sincerest condolences, Shirlyn & Calvin

Professor Bill Brown was a significant leader at UMBC Theatre. A member of the founding faculty, he served 16 years as department chair, and has continued to support today's theatre majors with the William T. Brown Scholarship; so many have benefited. He was a long-time friend to us, as well as beloved colleague. He will be greatly missed.
UMBC Theatre extends its deepest condolences and gratitude to the Brown family.

Bill and I were there together his first day at UMBC. He was a wonderful and patient teacher, mentor and friend. As a theatre teacher I often talk about him, think about him and recount stories about our time together. Bill, you will be missed!
