Mr. "Bill" Eagan Thank You for all your kindness and help! You are instrumental in my life and I am always praying for you & Avra and your whole family. Both you and Avra have prayer petitions in your name at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C. God Bless You!

So, I'll add some levity: I remember stuffing envelopes with flyers that advertised the Dunes Motor Inn. As you can imagine, it was a pretty boring job. But Mr. Eagan, who had a soft, understated way, about him, was also about his business. He would challenge anyone stuffing envelopes to a contest to see who could stuff and seal the most envelopes within a set time. And he would win EVERY time...always with a smile, and then he'd walk away in victory, and let that push you on to do more. What a fantastic boss!

I worked for Bill when I was home from college in the 80's - he was a good and decent man. Prayers and condolences to Avra and the family.

Philip and I will miss Billy more than words can say, we loved him, he leaves a void in our life that nothing can fill-we hope it gives comfort to Avra, Bobby and Phil to know how much he was love and appreciated-

I had the true honor and pleasure of working at the Dunes for Mr. and Mrs. Eagan in the late 1970's and early 80's. They fostered a Christian work environment that uplifted and encouraged all of us. They were like parents to me. Mr. Eagan was a generous, kind, and gentle man who loved the Lord and supported efforts for others to know Him. I will never forget the fellowship, the meals, the laughs and the stories we shared. He was a true patriot and a very caring person and we all loved him and Mrs. Eagan very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Eagan, Robert, Phil, Teresa and the grandchildren at this time. May you find comfort in knowing you will see him in heaven one day! With love, Martha Beavers Crane

Mr. Eagan was a wonderful man who shared love and encouragement with those whom he met. He was fun to be around and I loved the way that he cared for his family. Many years ago he offered me a job at the Dunes when I needed work. I appreciated the Christian life that he modeled. I am saddened at your loss and pray for God's comfort. Blessings to all.

Mr. Eagan was such a dear man. I had the pleasure of knowing him on many levels. As an innkeeper he was a wonderful friend to my parents Judi and Jerry Ross. I also worked for him at the Dunes as a bellman. Later in life, we shared our passion for volunteering at the Va Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad (Rescue 14) and we also served together as members of the Honor Guard. A man with a great smile, soft voice and gentle soul....I will miss him. God bless to Mrs Eagan and the whole Eagan family.

Mr. Eagan was such a gentleman! I had the privilege, and it was a privilege, of working for him at The Dunes. He was a faithful, kind, thoughtful, empathetic and wise man. He also had a delightful sense of humor! I can still hear his voice as he would tell guests "Have a safe journey." as they departed their stay. May his memory be eternal!

I worked at the Dunes for Bill and Avra and must say they were the best employers ever. I loved working for them. Bill was always smiling and such a gentleman. He will be missed.

We are so sad to hear of Bill's passing. He was a wonderful man who always made me smile. I was honored to be his first daughter-in-law. Family was so important to him and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.
