William Hulbert Obituary

William "Billy" Rand Hulbert, 75, was walked into heaven by his Guardian Angel on Saturday, August 21, 2021. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts to the late George and Caronal Stowe Hulbert. Billy's family moved to Deep Creek in Tidewater Virginia where he grew up going to school at Woodrow Wilson High School and doing a few odd jobs before going into the Navy serving his country honorably for two years. He was then hired by Dominion Power Company (Vepco) where he continued to work until retirement as a network lineman. After he retired, Billy worked at the Chesapeake Harris Teeter for 17 years then retired to continue enjoying his hobby of buying and selling fine antiques and classical objects of art which he adored. He was the most kind hearted soul one could be lucky to know and he was loved by everyone he met.

Left to cherish his memory is his life partner of 38 years, Bernard T. Calvillo, who will miss Billy until they meet again.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to view the service and to leave a condolence to the family.

Billy was one of the nicest people I had ever met.
He put a smile on my face every time I saw him at Harris Teeter. My heartfelt condolences to Bernard.
Godspeed, Billy. Godspeed.
