Catherine Rice Obituary
Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was devoted to her family and her church family. She instilled a strong work ethic in her family and lived by the principle 'if it is work doing, do it right.'
McDonald's coffee and apple pie were second only to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Rice.
She is survived by her children, Dianne Logsdon, James H. (Pat) Rice, Larry (Connie) Rice, Randell (Debbie) Rice, Richard (Ellie) Rice, Lillie Mae (Kenneth) McAfee and Charles Rice; along with a plethroa of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Shepherdsville Christian Church with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. The Rev. Karen Yost and the Rev. Danny Masden will officiate the service. Visitation from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church. Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville is in charge of arrangements.
Expressions of flowers or donations can go to Alzheimer's Foundation.
