Joseph Corum Obituary
Corum retired as a police officer from the Bullitt County Sheriff's Department and then began working at the Bullitt County Jail, where he retired due to health problems.
He was a lifetime member of the Bullitt County FOP and he was a member of Brooks Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery 'Pete' Corum and Nellis Corum; brother, Donnie Corum; and sister, Vicki Prather.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Corum; son, Steve Corum; daughters, Sheryl Adamson, Melinda DeSpain; brother, Henry 'Sonnie' (Rita) Corum; sisters, Judi Corum, Debbie Hoskins and Amber Crutcher, whom he thought of as a daughter; furry friend, Eva; and numerous nieces, nephews and great friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home near Shepherdsville. Visitation after 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Jerry was our Friend for almost fifty years. He and my Brother Curt worked together for many years I knew he had he had his back. To his kids your Dad was not only a Great Police Officer, but a great person. He treated everyone like family. He had my respect as well as the officers that knew him.
