Michael Coy Obituary

Michael Terry Coy, 69 of Shively, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 27, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Tuesday, August 16, 1955, to the late Buster Coy and Wanda Coy. Mike was a man that loved fishing and hunting. His favorite place to spend time was the outdoors either in the woods or on the water. He also enjoyed visiting Wyoming. He was kind, generous and hardworking. Mike was a loving husband, father, Gramps and friend that will be greatly missed.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Clinton “Buck� Coy, and Dustin Coy. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 44 years, Brenda Coy; his children, Michael Coy (Joy), Michelle Brockwell (Allen), and Brent Coy (Carissa); grandchildren, Courtney, Hunter, Nick, Brooke, Maddie, Dominik, Kenzie, Kylie, Daxton, and a little one on the way; his siblings, Gail (Chuck), Steve, and Jerry along with a host of family and friends.Funeral service will be conducted at 6 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects from 2pm until the time of service at 6 pm.
