I don't know where to begin, first of all I am so sorry for the family's loss. I hadn't seen him in many years. I had the biggest crush on Duke when I was 12 or 13. He was a few years older, but we became really good friends over the years. He had such a great smile and a twinkle in his eye. He will be sadly missed.
My most hearfelt sympathy.

I wish that I could tell you how sad I am for you your family. Sometimes we have things that happen that are not in the normal, and my friend, this is one of those times. I know that you are surrounded with good friends as well as family.
My prayers are with you and all of your loved ones. I hope that the good memories will soon edge out the pain of these days and I hope that it comes soon. God Bless!!

Dear Abe and Donna...
This is a poem that I received from a friend when Darin was killed ... and want to share it with you. Our thoughts are with you through this difficult and heart wrenching time.
"I'll lend you for a little time a child of Mine, He Said,
For you to love while he lives
and mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years, or fifty-two or three,
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for Me?
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth returns,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over
in my search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
He'll bring his charms to gladden you,
and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I fancied then I heard them say:
Dear Lord They Will Be Done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief will run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness ...
we'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known, ... forever grateful stay.
But shall the angels call for him
much sooner than we'd planned,
We'll brace the bitter grief that comes ... and try to understand."
