Alice Mathison Obituary

PEORIA - Alice Mae Mathison, 90, died at 12:31 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.

She was born June 28, 1916, in Dwight, a daughter of Frank and Laura H. Swanson Pratt. She married Telford S. Mathison on Nov. 3, 1935, in Dwight. He preceded her in death in Peoria on Nov. 15, 1969.

She also was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Surviving are two sons, Richard A. (and Eleanor) Mathison of Shalimar, Fla., and Gary D. (and Diana) Mathison of Bradenton, Fla.; one sister, Elaine Beiswanger of Dwight; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Alice worked for Byerly Aviation in Bartonville, retiring in June of 1995.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Peoria since 1946.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2006, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. The Rev. Vonna Lou Larson will officiate. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka or the Alzheimer's Association.
