Annabelle Dyke Obituary

CANTON - Annabelle M. Van Dyke, 94, of Canton passed away at 10:26 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born March 13, 1921, in Joshua Township, Fulton County, Ill., to Samuel and Alta (Wright) Rohrer. She married Kenneth Van Dyke on April 6, 1946, in Canton. He died in 2003.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Robert Van Dyke; six brothers; and five sisters.

Surviving are two children, William (Frances) Van Dyke of Morton and Joyce (David) Fleisher of London Mills; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Annabelle worked as a cook in the dietary department at Graham Hospital in Canton, retiring with 20-plus years of service.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Canton.

She loved gardening, yard work, traveling, sewing and spending time with her family.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015, at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton, with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Kevin Kessler will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Brethren.
