PEORIA - Arnold C. Morris, age 75, of Middleburg, Fla., formerly of Peoria, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007, in Jacksonville, Fla.
He was born March 9, 1932, in Flat River, Mo., to Harvey L. and Edna L. (Adams) Morris and moved to Clay County, Fla., eight years ago.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carmine S. Morris; two sons, Dennis Arnold and Daniel Scott Morris; two daughters, Denise Sue Eschmann and Danette Lynne Sweat; four grandchildren, Stacie Eschmann, Debra Bradford, Danielle and Jacob Morris; and two great-grandchildren, Viktorya and Mikah Bradford.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, horseshoe player and a collector of eagle sculptures.
He was a carpenter for Local 183 in Peoria, Ill., medically retiring in 1982.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens with Pastor Gary Hutton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Ovarian Cancer Society or Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
