Arthur Dunn Obituary
BRIMFIELD - Arthur D. Dunn, 83, of Brimfield passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Coles County, Illinois, the son of Arthur D. and Beulah M. Sutton Dunn. He married Mary-Ellen Collier on June 20, 1953, in Effingham, IL, and she survives.
Also surviving are three children, Victoria (Greg) Mall, Monica (Stuart) Baumann and Arthur (Christy) Dunn Jr.; five grandchildren, Jeremy Baumann, Sarah (Casey) Mall-Pavich, Nathan (Emily Korsmo) Mall, Ariel (David) Sauls and Abigail (Matthew) Freer; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kellen, Owen and Kendall. Further surviving are one brother, Delbert (Stelma) Dunn; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
One sister, one infant sister and four brothers preceded him in death.
Art worked as a Lithographer for Fleming & Potter for over 40 years, retiring in 1996. He helped many people throughout his life by the use of his skills, including carpentry, woodworking and as a shade tree mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing, along with being devoted to his family, and will be greatly missed by them and his two pugs, Polly and Dolly.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Brimfield Evangelical Free Church. Pastor Donald L. Blasing will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., also at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, Shriners Hospital for Children or OSF St. Francis Hospice.
