Dear Corri and Kenzie and for all of your family- I’m thinking of you all everyday. Your Dad always made me smile a real smile. He was a man who understood what heartache and loss does to a spirit and in the face of struggle and suffering he stood up and kept going. He would come by for a hug- lifting me clear off my feet with a squeeze that made me feel seen and heard. Most important- He loved you! He talked about you all, first and last, every time we saw one another. That’s the truth. Pictures of that beautiful new grand-baby, updates on how all of you were faring- reminding us all of how much he cared for you. I know that inside each of you is the strength and spirit of your Dad- I know that you’ll stand up and keep going just like he always did. He’s with you. I’ll never forget him.

My deepest sympathies to Chris' children and all Grant and Parr family members. Chris and I became friends in kindergarten (1979) and remained that way throughout our youth. Although not having seen Chris for a long time, I remember him as always ready to hang out with his friends and be a part of their endeavors. May the wonderful memories of Chris comfort his friends and loved ones throughout the years to come.

You were a good guy Chris. A good Dad. A good friend. A hard working guy. You had a great sense of humor. I’m going to miss getting to talk sports with you. You will be missed by everyone that ever knew you brother. Much love Chris. We won’t forget you.
