MORTON - Clifford E. "Cliff" Moore, 85, of Morton, formerly of Peoria Heights, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born March 21, 1930, in Canton to Floyd and Gladness (Thomas) Moore. He married Dorothy Stevenson in 1950. She preceded him in death on Aug. 11, 1992. He then married Diane Seelye on July 26, 2003, in Morton.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Moore of Morton; his children, Susan (Don) Pyles of Morton, Mike (Terri) Moore of Brimfield, Terry (Rick) Moreland of Peoria, Barbara (Bruce) Nielsen of Peoria, David Moore of Canton and Scott (Julie) Moore of Peoria.; one stepdaughter, Crystal (Justin) Lightfoot of LeRoy, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, with one due in December; two stepgrandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bennett of Phoenix, Ariz., and Pat Hill of Manito, Ill.
Cliff was a photo engraver at Peoria Engraving Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Days of Grace Fellowship in Morton and a life member of Kennel Lake Sportsmen's Club in Morton.
Cliff was a born again Christian and an avid fisherman and loved his dog, Bella. He also enjoyed bowling, spending time with his family and friends and always had a smile on his face.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life service will be held at Freedom Hall, 349 W. Birchwood St., Morton, on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a time for sharing at 6 p.m., with Pastor Randy Hall officiating.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association or the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
