MACKINAW - David E. Crabtree, 44, of Mackinaw died at 10:08 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
David was born April 29, 1962, in Bloomington to Charles and Mollie Beaty Crabtree. He married Charisa Hale on Sept. 10, 1994, in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
David is survived by his wife, Charisa; his mother, Mollie Crabtree of Mackinaw; three children, Zach, Haley and Gabriella at home; one stepson, Skyler Edwards of Pekin; three sisters, Connie (Brent) Barbour of San Jose, Carol (Dave) Abbott and Sandy (Ken) Baurer of Mackinaw; his first wife and good friend, Jean Skaggs Kenney of East Peoria; and his nieces and nephews, Kara Dudley, Alysia Ortega, Bekah, Joe and Dan Abbott, Tyler and Kyle Larson, Ashley and Cory Phelps and Courtny Svendsen.
David was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
David was the plant supervisor at Cargill Nutrena Feed in Goodfield. He had worked there for 15 years. He was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan. David enjoyed boating, fishing, cooking and the Dallas Cowboys.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at Haensel Funeral Home in Mackinaw. The Rev. Ron Little will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to his children's education fund at Bank Plus in Mackinaw.
David loved his family and enjoyed being with them all he could.
