EAST PEORIA - David A. Price, 60, of East Peoria died at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 9, 1949, in Peoria to William T. and Helen Joanne (Land) Price. He married Bonnie Kaveney on April 15, 2006, in East Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Price of East Peoria; two daughters, Traci (Andy) Sullivan of Morton and Jenni Kaveney of East Peoria; two grandchildren, Maggie and Max Sullivan, both of Morton; one sister, Pat (Tony) Palamar of Las Vegas, Nev.; one niece, Nicole (Gregg) Bloom of Las Vegas; two great-nephews, Chandler and Connor Bloom, both of Las Vegas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James M. Price.
David served with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
He was employed with Caterpillar Inc. for 40 years, retiring from CPI Inventory Management in Peoria on Jan. 31, 2009.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria, the SSR Fanatics and the Wednesday Night Golf League. He was a former member of the Morton Jaycees.
Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton. The Rev. James Bettermann will officiate.

Tracy, I remember your father very well as a much younger man. We would all get together for picnics and family get togethers when you were just a baby. He was always a fun guy with a great sense of humor. I am so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. I am praying for you and your family. Michele Tabbone-Reese

I was very sad, and sorry, to hear about Dave, he had quite a struggle. Dave and I worked together for 30 Yrs. we all will miss him very much. Please accept my condolences, we all will be praying for you and your family.
