CREVE COEUR - David Alan Stroud, 39, of 349 Roosevelt St., Creve Coeur, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at 101 Capitol St. in Pekin.
He was born to David L. and Barbara Ann Cabell Stroud on Nov. 8, 1967, in Peoria. His mother and grandparents preceded him in death.
David is survived by his children, Brittney Stroud of Hanna City and David J. Stroud of East Peoria; his father of Creve Coeur; and sisters, Lisa (Mark) Coufal of Cuba and Bobbie (Joe) Smith of Creve Coeur.
David was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all that knew him.
He worked as a carpet installer for Ron's Carpets.
David was a member of Creve Coeur Christian Church, where a memorial service will be held for him on Friday, Jan. 26, at noon, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded.
Memorials can be made on behalf of his children to the Creve Coeur Christian Church, 101 S. Thorncrest, Creve Coeur, IL 61610.

I also have high school memories of David. If he was around, you were laughing. He was a good person and will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Stroud family.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Friendship leaves a memory no one can steal...
I cannot help but smile when I think of David and all the fun we had. Even though I was a year older,I will never forget the fun we all had together.David, Alan,Tim, Norm, Steve and Myself. We thought we were cool!Those are the memories to be cherished! David will be forever missed but thoughts of him leave a smile in my heart.
