Dennis Dahl Obituary
MORTON - Dennis Eugene Dahl, 52, formerly of Morton, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at his home in Denver, Colorado, after a two-month battle with bile duct cancer.
Dennis was born on October 8, 1965, in Peoria, IL, to Eugene and Linda (Paulsen) Dahl of Morton, IL, who survive him. Also surviving are his wife/best friend/partner-in-everything, Valerie (King) Dahl of Denver; two loving brothers, David Dahl of Winter Park, CO, and Michael Dahl of Rochester, NY; and an extremely large group of close friends.
Dennis grew up in Morton, the oldest of three brothers, and graduated from Morton High School in 1983. He remained connected to many of his Morton friends, even as he made hundreds more in other places. Dennis graduated from Iowa State University in 1987, then lived in Chicago, where he met his wife, Valerie, who he married in Las Vegas on June 25, 1994. Their relationship was admired by all who knew them.
He worked as an Account Manager at CCIG Insurance in Denver in order to support his real passions: music, especially live music, great food and wine, travel, time with friends and family, and he and Valerie's beautiful home in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver. He loved the Grateful Dead, the Cubs and life in general.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at the Morton United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 6, at 11 a.m., with a luncheon at the church to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help with medical expenses can be given via a GoFundMe.com page by entering "Teamdahl" or "Dennis Dahl" in the search box. Memorials in Dennis' name can also be made to the Morton United Methodist Church Building Fund or to a charity of your choice.

I worked with Dennis through his job and enjoyed talking with him. And I just now found out the he grew up in Morton and I lived in East Peoria. We never got a chance to find that out about each other.
