Donald Rowland Obituary

PEORIA - Donald C. Rowland, 68, of Peoria passed away at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at Morton Villa Care Center in Morton.

Donald was born March 31, 1942, in Astoria to Alfred and Savannah Hall Rowland.

Surviving are one daughter, Cathy (Ron) Isonhart of Bartonville; three sisters, Barbara (Carl) Barnwell of Bartonville, Shirley (Roy) Barnwell of East Peoria and Anna Worent of Pekin; two grandsons, Jerry Hitesman of Peoria and David Hitesman Jr. of Peoria; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Donald was of the Baptist faith.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation rites were accorded.

The Wilton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004, or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.

So very sorry to see this about Don.. We all grew up in the North end . He was a joy to be around as a young boy. My prayers and thoughts are with his whole family.. Carol[ Ward] Holford and my family..
