Eric James Obituary
CHILLICOTHE - Eric D. James, age 50, of Chillicothe passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Eric was born on August 2, 1970, in Peoria, Illinois, to Jimmy E. and Linda K. (Williamson) James.
Surviving are his parents; his sister, Jill (Jason) Schrock of Chillicothe; his nephew and nieces, Keller, Kinzie and Kaylynn Schrock; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Christine James; and his grandparents.
Eric worked for ABBCO Janitorial Services, working within the IVC School District for over 20 years. He was also an active member of the Chillicothe Community Fire Protection District for 27 years, as well as the Fred Meister Chillicothe Community Firefighter's Association. Eric was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need and he loved spending time with his nieces and nephew.
Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Chillicothe City Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Peoria Casting Club in Chillicothe.
Memorials for Eric may be made to his family.

I am so sorry for the Loss. Eric was a great guy. He always made everyone laugh. He cared about everyone. He would give you the shirt off his back. I sure will remember all the fun times I had with him. It was always fun being a child of a fire fighter. Going in on there fun games. Eric always made funny. He sure did love his long brown car he had driving around Chilli in it. He sure will be missed that´s for sure.

I am so sorry for your loss! I always saw Eric at the end of my day after the kids had left for home. He always had a hello and how was your day for me. He helped us stay healthy this past school year through covid. He will be missed!
