Gordon Litwiller Obituary

MORTON - Gordon C. Litwiller, 60, of 2905 W. Jackson St., Morton, died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at Methodist Medical Center Emergency Room in Peoria.

He was born Sept. 30, 1945, in London, England, to Jesse and Olive Gowans Litwiller.

Surviving are his fiancee, Pam Daub of Morton; one daughter, Lori Litwiller of Clinton, Ind.; two sisters, Linda (and John, Sr.) Harbaugh of Cuba, Ill., and Diane (and William) Clark of Morton; two nieces, Tammy Clark of Morton and Cindy Harbaugh of Canton; two nephews, John Harbaugh Jr. of Chicago and Kenneth Clark of Morton; two great-nieces and three great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Michael Litwiller, who died on Sept. 8, 1976.

He was a Navy veteran, serving with the Seabees Construction Battalion in the countries of Cuba and Vietnam.

He worked at Keen Transport in Carlisle, Pa., as an over-the-road heavy hauler.

He was a member of American Legion Post 318 in Morton.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Doane Brubaker officiating. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton, where full military rites will be conducted by his Legion post.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
