I am saddened by news of Hal's loss. His name brings back so many good and happy memories. I had an almost-daily meeting with Hal at the counter of Lou's Drive-In, as well as acquaintances with the rest of the family. Hal brought joy and laughter without fail, something that I remember vividly after all these years. God's blessing to the family.

I was caught off guard by Hal's passing. We hadn't seen each other since eight grade but went through all grade school together. I always remember Hal being so proud of his sister, who as I remember, had a beautiful canary yellow firebird convertible (1969) and it was a wow factor when she came to pick him up at schoo. Hal was also such a nice polite kid and very sorry to hear of his passing. Gehrig Peterson, Chicago

Hal was THE consummate leader and organizer of Jewish youth at Agudas Achim. He possessed boundless energy, intiative and always a strong sense to unify all of us, some better than others. Thoughts are with you as you both celebrate his life and mourn his passing.
