To the Block family:
I learned of your tragic loss on a radio news item here in Springfield. In the meantime, I have been preoccupied with my husband's hip surgery; thus the lapse in this message. I am just heartsick for you; I remember from my friendship with you here in Springfield that Hans was so very dear to you and of your pride in knowing he would oversee the "family farm." This is all so unthinkable. I am so very sorry for your pain and please know you are remembered in my prayers.
