Harry Bayless Obituary
PEORIA - Harry T. Bayless, 89, of Peoria passed away peacefully at 7:39 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home.
He was born on Feb. 29, 1920, in Peoria and was raised by his grandparents, Isaac and Olive Bayless. He married Eleanor L. Claus on July 12, 1951, in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by one son, Daniel D. (Laurel J.) Bayless of Peoria; two grandsons, Nathan Bayless and Tyler (Bridget) Bayless; and two great-grandchildren.
He worked for Hart Carter Company and later at Caterpillar Inc., where he was a chief design engineer, retiring in 1982.
Harry was of the Christian faith.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Springdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Boerckel officiating.
Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial gifts may be made to Peoria Rescue Ministry in his honor.

Harry will be greatly missed bye his family. He has had a lot of years to share with his wife, son and grand children. I remember him as a kind quiet man from my child hood years. may God bless the family . cousin Olive Anderson
