Helen Pflederer Obituary

EAST PEORIA - Helen Viola (Ridgeway) Pflederer, 85, of Goshen, Ind., formerly of East Peoria, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Waterford Crossing in Goshen.

She was born April 7, 1927, in East Peoria to Alvin E. and Minerva Mary (Ball) Ridgeway. She married Victor H. Pflederer on March 8, 1946, in Pekin. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2002.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Robert L. (Lorraine) Pflederer of Goshen, Ind.; and one grandson, Matthew Pflederer of Paoli, Ind.

Helen had worked at Morton Pottery for several years until she married and started her family.

She was a member of CrossPoint Church (formerly Pleasant Hill Mennonite Church) in East Peoria.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Ludwig Mortuary in Morton, with the Rev. James Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tremont.

Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Disaster Service, 583 Airport Road, Lititz, PA 17543.

Bob and Lorraine, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry I am in NY, and was not able share with you your mom's memorial service. I pray God's peace and love will cover you in the coming day's and weeks. Harold
