TRIVOLI - Ivan W. Black, 75, of Trivoli died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Yates City to Russel and Mildred (Patterson) Black.
Surviving are two daughters, Sonja (Rick) Feurhammer of Rantoul and Tammy (Ron) Carson of Delavan; grandchildren, Ryan and Samantha Pomrenke, Jessica and Nicholas Carson; great-grandson, Avery Pomrenke; three nieces; and stepsons, Stuart Webb of St. David and Steve Webb of Hanna City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rhea Blust; infant brother, Viril Keith Black; and stepson, Scott Webb.
Ivan was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. in the accounting department, in the Mapleton plant, retiring in 1995.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington, Ill.
Arrangements are by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.

I worked with Ivan for several years in factory accounting . He was the kind of man that anyone would want to work with. He made the days at work a pleasure . Im glad to have known Ivan , and extend my sincere sympathy to Ivans family . John Trigg

I was deeply saddened when I read about Ivan's passing. We worked together at Mapleton Caterpillar and fished together many times. I will keep you my prayers during your time of sorrow.

Sorry for your loss. Ivan and I played football, next to each other. I was a year behind. I was glad to set next to him at a dinner almost 3 years ago during the hall of fame induction. (Canton) Great Guy.
