EAST PEORIA - Jane C. Parnell, 71, of East Peoria, Ill., passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Aug. 16, 1943, in Anna, Ill., to Leon and Ethel (Smith) Sharp. She married Dennis Parnell on Oct. 26, 1963, in Peoria, Ill.
Surviving are her two sons, Christopher (Jacqueline) Parnell of East Peoria, Ill., and Shannon Parnell of East Peoria, Ill.; grandson, Declan Parnell; her sister, Patricia (Melvin) Marold of East Peoria, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Jane was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandson. In her younger years, her hobbies included reading, a number of crafts and gardening.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 17, 2014, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in American Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or any disabled-veterans group.
