PEORIA - Jeffrey M. Fortner, 43, of Peoria passed away at 1:37 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1965, in Peoria to Robert L. and Kathleen E. Walsten Fortner.
He is survived by his parents of Peoria; two daughters, Katie Fortner and Meg Fortner, both of Peoria; and one sister, Dawn (David) Alwan of Dunlap.
Jeff was co-owner of JB and D Home Improvement of Galesburg for 10 years, prior to starting Interior Exterior Design.
He was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His great joy was fishing in the Florida Keys.
Jeff was a member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed duck and goose hunting.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at St. Philomena Church, with the Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Additional visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals.
