Jolene Brooks Obituary
GLASFORD - Jolene Randle Brooks, 37, of Glasford, Ill., passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, in an automobile accident.
She was born March 2, 1976, in Peoria, Ill., to Joseph Jr. and Deborah (Collister) Randle. She married Dennis Brooks Sr. on Nov. 10, 2007, in Groveland, Ill.
A graduate of Limestone Community High School, Jolene attended Midstate College, where she earned her associate degree in business. She later went on to work for Federal Companies in East Peoria, Ill., as a logistics coordinator for several years.
Jolene loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved to sing karaoke; her hobbies also included camping, equestrian riding and water sports. Jolene was a sports fanatic, a huge Chicago Bears fan, and never missed one of her children's sporting events.
Jolene also attended Northwoods Community Church.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis Brooks Sr., of Glasford, Ill.; three sons, Dennis Brooks Jr. of Hanna City, Ill., CotyJo Milliman of Glasford, Ill., and Colton Milliman of Glasford, Ill.; sister, Shawna (Brett) Rogy of Peoria, Ill.; grandmothers, Velma Grimes of East Peoria, Ill., and Geraldine Shoen of Wisconsin; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a great-niece and great-nephews; and a godson.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the family.

JoJo, It's so hard to put into words what I'm feeling right now. I am so blessed to have had so many wonderful joyful years as your friend. Not a day goes by that I don't think of all the crazy things we did. I will never forget our talks and your ever encouraging words. Still in such disbelief. Though we didn't hang out all the time I would like to think that we were always close. We grew up together, shared the same school, friends, and neighborhood. You used to watch me when I would spend the night at the Mitchell's house. I watched Coty for you when he was a baby. For the past few years we have spent St Pattys day together. We always shared our green things. ( your eye make-up and my polish and hair spray ) you will definitely be missed this year and every year to follow.
