PEORIA - Larry James Lee, 56, of Peoria passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Heartland of Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria, with the Rev. Theodore Hunt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Hawley Cemetery in Peoria.
Larry was born in Ripley, Tenn., on July 22, 1956, a son of William Manns and Lola Mae Lee. He was raised by his mother and her husband, Robert Purdle. They preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by a son, William Lee; and a sister, Laura Purdle.
He is survived by his sons, Lamont Lee of Peoria and Christopher and Michael Robinson of Galesburg; daughter, Miranda Robinson of Peoria; sisters, Beverly (Charles) Taylor, Elizabeth Greer, Linda, Angela and Blanche Purdle, all of Peoria; brothers, Clarence and David (Monica) Purdle of Peoria and Barry Manns of Kansas City, Kan.; aunts, Barbara and Darlene Lee and Catherine Dotson; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Larry was last employed with Steve Schultz Landscaping in Morton and was formerly employed with the TP & W Railroad and Jim's Steakhouse.
He was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria.
