I will always remember Lou for being so caring. I remember when I was growing up that we always got cards from her. She sent cards for everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions. And every Christmas I looked forward to her cards with pictures of Lou and Ray and all the family together. When I got older and had my own family she continued sending me cards. I enjoyed reading her Christmas letters explaining what was going on with her family. She was kind and caring just like her mom, my Aunt Mary who I was named after. My heart and prayers go out to Ray, Sue, Sande and Rick and all their families.....and her dear sister Shirley and brother Rich. I know it's hard to say goodbye to those we love so much. I also know that if we know the Lord one day we will all be together again in heaven. Love and prayers to all of you! Mary Jo (McCartney) Hurst

I loved Lou so very much and the entire Picl family.I always bragged on her to my friends that she married the mayor of Peoria Heights. She sent me a Christmas card for the last 40 yrs and I was always anxious to see what she was doing all year. She is with the rest of our family in heaven now and I wish I could be with them all. Someday soon we will all gather at the river and we will be with each other forever. Peace be with you all.

Ray and Family,

Please accept condolences from Carol and I on the passing of Lou. She was a warm, kind and always friendly to Carol and I. We enjoyed her company immensely. She was a great fan of both the Bradley Braves and a key part of the Peoria Cub Family. I shall always remember our bus trips to Bradley away games, and seeing her in the stands at Bradley Baseball games. she will be missed by many in the Peoria area, especially those of us in the world of Basketball and Baseball
