East Peoria woman was 101
EAST PEORIA - Luetta M. Uber, 101, of East Peoria, Ill., died at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Morton Terrace Care Center in Morton, Ill.
Born on July 28, 1913, in Heyworth, Ill., to Claude and Frances Lowe Jackson, she married Everett Adams. He preceded her in death. She later married George Uber. He also preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Don Elward of Morton, Ill., and Richard "Bud" (Marilyn) Elward of Washington, Ill.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Luetta was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club, the Order of Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church of East Peoria.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of East Peoria. Pastor Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Heyworth Cemetery in Heyworth, Ill.
Memorials may be made to her church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
