Lula Lyons Obituary
PEORIA - Lula Russell Lyons of Peoria, the quiet storm, a loving mother, wise grandmother, great foster parent, wonderful friend and a Powerful Prayer warrior, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021. She was born in Tchula, Mississippi, on Dec. 28 1942, and received her wings at 78 years young.
Born to Elmore and Mary Russell, who preceded her in death, as well as 1 sister, 5 brothers and 1 daughter, Debra IIoha Boswell.
Surviving are 9 brothers; 2 sisters; and her children, Tommy Trapps II, Donna O'steen, Peaches E. Bonner, Denise Trapps Clark, Romeo Trapps, David Lyons, Brittany Lyons and Jason Lyons.
She was a life-touching woman and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at City of Refuge Worship Center, 2201 SW Adams St., Peoria, with visitation one hour before service. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
