MORTON - Margaret M. Lammers, 79, of 161 E. Queenwood Road, Apt. A3, Morton, died at 5:56 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at her home.
She was born April 27, 1927, in Carroll, Iowa, to Rudolph and Minnie Eischeid Heinen. She married Edward Lammers on June 20, 1953.
Surviving are two sons, Steve (and Christina) Lammers of Tremont and Scott Lammers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Karen (and Mike) Easley of Colorado Springs and Mary Jo (and Roger) Barbeau of Lafayette, Colo.; five grandchildren, Danielle, Christina and Marc Barbeau and Megan and Jesse Archuleta; one brother, Warren (and Alice) Heinen of Halbur, Iowa; and one sister, Evelyn Richards of Denver, Colo.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
She graduated from Duchesne College in Omaha, Neb., where she majored in social work with a minor in teaching.
Margaret was a volunteer at the Family Resources Center in Peoria.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, where a funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, with Father Mark DeSutter officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton, where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Further visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.
Memorials may be made to the Family Resources Center, 321 Main St., Peoria, IL 61602, or to the Father Beiting Appalachian Mission Center, 120 Chaplin Road, Louisa, KY 41230.
