Nicholas Jones Obituary
PEORIA - Nicholas D. Jones, 12, of Peoria passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017, at 8:14 a.m. at his residence.
Nicholas was born on May 3, 2005, in Peoria, IL, to Courtney Jones. Nick was a 7th grader at Rolling Acres Middle School. His favorite color was red and he enjoyed listening to music. Nicholas was born premature and, because of that, he had cerebral palsy, but he didn't let that defeat him. He still had a great spirit and a smile that would melt your heart. Nick loved being around family and friends, but when it was time to go home and get comfortable, he had his way of letting mom know.
Nick leaves to cherish his priceless memories to his mother, Courtney Jones; grandparents, Kirk and Pamela Jones; one aunt, Whitney Jones; one uncle, Percy Pruitt; one close first cousin. Carson Wilkerson; and a host of other family members and friends.
Nick was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, two great-uncles and one great-aunt.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, with visitation commencing one hour prior. Pastor Samuel Duren will officiate.
