Park Elting Obituary
WASHBURN - Park Charles Elting, 86, of Washburn died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 6 a.m. at Heartland Health Care Center in Henry.
Park was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Streator, Ill., to Delmar S. and Dorothe (Barnard) Elting.
Surviving are one brother-in-law, Tom Kizer of Washburn; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Elting of Washington; seven nieces; three nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Park farmed his entire life in Woodford County, working for Garber Farms.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in El Paso and the Washburn Lodge 421 of the AF & AM, being a 32nd degree mason. He also was a member of the Woodford County Farm Bureau.
Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2015, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Washburn. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Washburn Baptist Cemetery in Washburn.
Memorials may be made to the Washburn American Legion.
