Patricia Richter Obituary

PEORIA - Patricia Ann Richter, 63, of Peoria passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at home with her family.

She fought cancer for over three years to be with her family and friends.

She was born Feb. 21, 1947, in Pana, Ill., to Homer Don and Anna (DeMarco) Seitz. She married Gary Richter on Nov. 30, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, DeAnna (Kenny) Wills of Glasford, Tonya Eash of Bellevue, Tammi (Brand) Slack of Peoria and Jodi (Brian) Rhodes of Peoria; her grandchildren, Kylee, Dalton and Brody Wills, Nick and Amber Eash, Charde (Shea) Ledford, Caitlyn Wade, Shelby, Karlie and Caden Slack, Zach (Ebony) Richter and Colten Richter; one great-grandson, Jayden Richter, one brother, Mark (Christine) Seitz; and two nieces, Jasmine and Rachel Seitz.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Patricia worked for Belcan Corp. out of the Caterpillar Mossville facility as an engineering assistant.

She loved working Sudoko puzzles and playing cards. She always decorated extravagantly for the holidays for family and friends to enjoy.

She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. prior to funeral services on Wednesday at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the services. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or OSF Hospice.

I had the great pleasure of getting to know Pat and her family, through Sydney her best friend of 52 years. Sydney is my boyfriends mother. They were like two peas in a pod...Great Ladies... I am so glad I was blessed with getting to know Pat and her whole family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of sadness. Rest in Peace Pat you will be greatly missed by many.
