BARTONVILLE - Patrick "Slim" Fehl, age 50, of Bartonville passed away at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Canton.
He was born June 30, 1964, in Peoria to Paul and Jean (Berry) Fehl Jr. He married Cindy McSimov Fisher on June 1, 2003, in Henry. She passed away Nov. 10, 2008, in Peoria.
He was also preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother of Bartonville; two sisters, Karen Sheilds of Chicago and Paula (Ken) Weinacht of Montana; two brothers, Kevin Fehl of Peoria and Mike (Laura) Fehl of Bartonville; two aunts, Louise Fehl of Peoria and Maggie (Don) Cunningham of Tulsa, Okla.; one uncle, Walt (Loretta) Fehl of West Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat graduated from Manual High School and while there, played football and youth hockey. He was the goalie for the Peoria youth hockey state championship team.
He was a union carpenter in the Peoria area for 25 years, working out of Local 237.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be today, March 3, 2015, at 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Fr. Terry Cassidy will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sophia's Kitchen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria.
