Paul Jacob Obituary
PEORIA - Paul T. Jacob, 49, of Peoria passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
Paul was born on July 18, 1969, in Peoria, IL, to Walter F. and Margaret (Barry) Jacob. He married Amanda (Brook) Jacob on March 4, 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Jacob; three children, Daniel, Kayla and Jacob Murphy; his mother, Margaret (Barry) Jacob; brother, George (Jeannine) Jacob; sister, Margaret "Meg" Jacob; and sister-in-law, Marit Jacob. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Alexandra, George, Walter "Jake," Katherine, Thomas, Bennett, Connor and Lillian Brook.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter. F. Jacob; and his father, Walter F. "Budd" Jacob III.
Paul began his career in 1987 working for his dad at Brewers Distributing Co. as a route salesman. He learned every aspect of the beer business by working his way up from route sales to President alongside his father, Budd; mother, Margie; brother, George; and sister, Meg. Paul held true to his father's motto, "Making Friends is Our Business," providing the highest level of customer service and building relationships in the Peoria community and beyond. Paul was well known for his humble and enthusiastic nature.
Paul earned his Executive Master of Business Administration at Bradley University. He was passionate about marketing and leadership and used his vast experience to lead Brewers Distributing Co. as President, beginning in 2010 to the company's milestone 85th year in business in 2018. Paul was committed to making a difference in our local communities through volunteerism and other charitable efforts.
Paul allocated resources towards education, economic development, disaster relief, first responders and military forces. Under Paul's leadership, Brewers hosted fundraisers and promoted volunteerism and donations through local community organizations. He was awarded the 2013 HIHA Best in Midwest Community Service Award and the 2014 AAHFM Garrett Humanitarian Award. Paul touched the hearts of many that were affected by the EF-2 and EF-4 tornados on November 17, 2013. Paul swiftly acted by sending truckloads of bottled water to Washington, IL. Paul opened Brewers as a designated Red Cross donation drop off site to help gather and distribute donations of food, clothing, water and necessities for those in need.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton. A visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, also at the church. Further visitation will be an hour prior to the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Msgr. Gerald Ward will officiate and burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Walter F. Jacob Foundation.

add a memory!! I will we were all down at s.o.p.s one night and Paul comes in with a case of the new Bud select. Paul yells out my name "Tootall help me with this case" so we handed out Bud select. I think 3 cases. Not the point of passing out the beer, the point was that the Man knew my name from just being a bartender / customer from other establishments. Cheers Paul we all miss you..

Amanda and family-
We cannot begin to tell you how sad we are for your loss. Paul was one of the most genuine and giving people we have ever known. Paul touched our family in so many positive ways we could not begin to list them all, but rest assured the time we were fortunate enough to spend with him will always be cherished.
