Pearl Bruns Obituary
EAST PEORIA - Pearl Elizabeth Bruns, 100, of Morton, formerly of East Peoria, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born in Annawan, Illinois, on January 3, 1916, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Miller Theobald, Pearl married Siebrand B. Bruns on September 9, 1937, in Peoria. He died February 10, 1999, in East Peoria.
Also preceding Pearl in death were two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Morris (Sandie) Bruns of Morton and Dennis (Janice) Bruns of Brimfield; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pearl was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, in Morton, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill PTA.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 325 E. Queenwood Rd., Morton, IL 61550, with Pastor Jeff Anderson and Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran School or OSF Hospice.

Aunt Pearl was a wonderful woman who would do anything for those she loved. She was like a second mother to me and I loved her dearly. She will be missed.
