EAST PEORIA - Phillip Lee Cole, 90, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, from COVID-19 complications.
Phil is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters Heather (John) Kalita and Allison (Stuart) Hadley; son, Phillip Cole; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Hazel Cole; and sister, Barbara Cole.
Born October 5, 1930, Phil grew up in Hammond, IN, and Tampa, FL. He graduated from Bradley University in 1953 and worked as a mechanical engineer with ALOCA in Davenport, IA, for 35 years, retiring in 1989.

Upon retirement, Phil and Mary moved to Morton, IL, and later to East Peoria, IL. He was active in church and Bible studies and enjoyed Yankees and Cubs baseball.
Phil and Mary moved to Scottsdale, AZ, in the fall of 2019 to be close to family. Phil was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Hello Mary and family,

I was just recalling memories of you both just this weekend and very saddened to learn of Phil’s passing. I had worked OSF Cardiac Rehab for a short time and met you fine folks there; you were so kind and gracious. Please take care and I’ll lift you up in prayer.

Sincerely, Joanne Hickey
