FARMINGTON - Raymond H. Krey Sr., 93, of Farmington, Ill., passed away at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Farmington Country Manor.

He was born Nov. 17, 1921, in rural Farmington to John and Rebecca (Jennings) Krey. He married Marie Kathryn Smith on Aug. 16, 1946.

She survives, along with two children, Raymond (Nancy) Krey Jr. and Paisley (Roy) Boyer; four grandchildren, Shawn (Audria) Taylor, Shannan (Bobby) Greaves, Laura (Alec Berman) Krey and Keith Krey; and four great-grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Alexis Willoughby and Oscar Berman.

I worked in Plant Security for Ray. He was a wonderful person to be around. My husband had lived in Farmington and knew the Krey family as well. We are sorry for your loss. God bless.

Always enjoyed listening to this man. He was an amazing person. I tell everyone that I've heard a marine sing the marine song in his sleep. RIP

He was a great scout leader and a good man. I owe him for some great life lessons learned as a scout. He was a wonderful example of the greatest generation. He will be missed by many.
