PEKIN - Robert Lee "Bobby" Potter, 54, of 421 Caroline St., Apartment 1, passed away at 12:06 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Aug. 25, 1953, in Peoria to Charles M. and Della (Roberts) Potter, he married Rita Wagle. He later married Kim Clark on May 7, 2005, in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Angie Potter of Pekin; three sons, Josh (Meg) Potter of Olathe, Kan., Jason (Dawn) Potter of Bartonville and Jake Potter of Pekin; one stepson, Danny Clark of Pekin; 11 grandchildren; and four brothers, Donnie (Ann) Potter and David (Kathy) Potter, both of Pekin, Timmy (Janice) Potter of Topeka 2450 North and Chucky (Vickie) Potter of Glasford.
His parents preceded him in death.
Bobby worked for Brookmeadow Apartments in Pekin for 28 years, last working in April 2008 as the maintenance supervisor. He previously worked for Caterpillar Inc. for several years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1869 in Pekin. He was a former member and deacon of Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur.
Bobby enjoyed playing pool and video poker. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
His memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be two hours before the service. Pastor Tom Pisano will officiate.
