Her grandfather, Adolf Rudin, came to America in 1872 from Basel, Switzerland, locating at Eureka and later Gridley. On Nov. 11, 1962, Ruby married Ira Grusy at First United Methodist Church in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1998.
