Sharon Shryock Obituary
CANTON - Sharon K. Shryock, 71, of Canton passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on December 21, 1945, in Oak Park to Howard "Doc" (Mary) Carley. She married Jim Shryock Sr. on March 29, 1968 in Pekin, and he preceded her in death in 2011.
Surviving are two children, Jim (Bonnie) Shryock of Hanna City and Julie Shryock of Canton; one sister, Carolyn (Jim) Bowton of Geneseo; and two step-brothers, Bruce and Dick Courtney of Canton.
She was also preceded in death by her father, Howard "Doc" Carley; mother, Mary Starkovich; and one sister, Dixie Ann O'Leary.
Sharon owned and operated Jim's Tire Service in Canton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, where a visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017. The Rev. Monroe Bailey will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
Memorials can be made to Mid America National Bank in Canton for a college fund for her grandchildren.
