BARTONVILLE - Shirley A. Mohn, 82, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 22, 1935, in Peoria to Clinton and Dorothy (Bastien) St. Clair. She married Earl H. Mohn Jr. on June 20, 1953, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1985, in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sis Hand.
She is survived by four children, Debra (Tim) Zaborac, Kim (Bob) Schalk, Russell Mohn and Jackie (Randy) Sweeter, all of Bartonville, Illinois; five grandchildren, Amy, Andy, Brayden, Carly and Rachel; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Kody; one sister, Vickie (Marc) DeVore, and one brother, Sonny (Ann) St. Clair, both of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley worked at Foster and Gallagher for many years and retired from Peoria Plastics Company. She was a member of the Women's Auxillary of the Bartonville American Legion Post #979. She enjoyed making ceramics, camping, bingo and watching NASCAR, along with watching her favorite baseball team, the Cardinals. She also loved listening to Elvis and following her favorite band. Shirley loved being with her family and attending grandchildren's events. She also enjoyed her friends at the Bartonville Diner, which she was a faithful regular.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
