Stanley Spellious
SPARLAND - Stanley Glen Spellious, 67, of Sparland, died Feb. 18, 2018 at his home. Born in Lacon on March 12, 1950 to the late George and Mabel Jason-Spellious, he worked as a machinist at Caterpillar for over 30 years. Stan's loves of life were his grandchildren and the Spellious farm.
Stan is survived by: son Scott (Laurie) Spellious of Sparland; daughters Jessica (Doug) Stowe of Tiskilwa, & Janelle (Steve) Vogel of Varna; brother Rick Spellious of Chillicothe; sisters Doris (Carroll) Pruitt of East Peoria, Genevieve (John) Majernik of Streator, Mary (Joseph) Pizzolato of Streator, and Carol (Gary) Fountain of Putnam; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild with another great grandchild due in March 2018. He was preceded in death by four brothers Robert, David, Darrell, Nick, one sister Pat, and sister-in-law Pam.
Cremation rights have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at 3 PM at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon with visitation from 1 to 3 PM prior to the service. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association and online condolences can be left at [email protected].

Lori and Scott, so sorry for your loss. Mike and I only knew your father for a short time, we so enjoyed talking with him at your place. He was so kind and what a great smile, he most certainly loved his family. Hold tight to your memories. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Paul,Lois and family are sending prayers to the family for your loss. Stan spent a lot of time at our house growing up as a young friend of the boys. We have a lot of good memories of those days. Back then Paul said they had a lot of good games of marbles at recess too!
