Velma Cremeens Obituary
HOPEDALE - Velma Litwiller Cremeens, 83, of Hopedale passed away at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Hopedale Nursing Home.
She was born on November 21, 1934, to Eli and Fannie Sutter Litwiller. She married Donald E. Cremeens on December 18, 1953.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Cremeens; two daughters, Charlotte Cremeens and Debra (Steven) Cremeens-Risinger; one brother, Donnie (Shirley) Litwiller; one sister, Lola (Robert) Dickey; and grandchildren, Marcie (Adam) Jenkins and their children, Seth and Adrianna Jenkins, Brandon (Kate) Cremeens and his son, Jacob Cremeens, and Carlie Cremeens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Charlene Cremeens; three sisters, Dorine Litwiller Comstock, Velora Litwiller Pickens and Eileen Litwiller Bennet; and two brothers, Lyle "Pete" Litwiller and Leo Litwiller.
A homemaker, Velma was very family-oriented, where she especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a sense of humor and was always willing to play games with her family.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Hopedale United Methodist Church. Frank Brozenec will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, also at the church.
Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Hopedale is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Orendorf Cemetery.
