TOULON - William Lester Bricker Sr., 59, of rural Toulon died at 8:54 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Cremation rites will be accorded, with graveside and inurnment services held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Williamsfield Cemetery, Williamsfield, Ill. Rev. David Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the Rux Funeral Home in Galva.
Military rites will be accorded by the Williamsfield Legion.
Memorials may be directed to the Hook and Bullet Conservation Club or the Galva Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Bricker was born April 19, 1947, in Peoria County, the son of Albert and Barbara (Flinner) Bricker. He married Linda Tennis in 1969.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara of Toulon, Ill.; his fiance, Rebecca Dalrymple of LaFayette, Ill.; a son William Bricker Jr. of Taylorville, Ill.; three daughters, Tracy (Ronnie) Lambert of Galesburg, Ill., Mary (Eron) Lawyer of Indianapolis, Ind., and Amanda (Tim) Schisler of Galva, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother and one grandson.
Mr. Bricker served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1965-69.
He worked utility construction for 33 years, retiring from Otto Baum and Sons of Morton, Ill., in 2004.
He was a charter member of the Hook and Bullet Conservation Club.
He loved fishing, his shelties and times with his grandchildren.
