Nancy Kathryn Stults, 94, of North Manchester, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Peabody Healthcare. She was born on May 17, 1931, in Camden, New Jersey, to Harris D. and Kathryn (Pfisterer) Bootman.
Nancy was a 1949 graduate of Haddonfield High School in Haddonfield, New Jersey and was a graduate of the Taylor Business School. She married Rev. Charles Richard Stults in Haddonfield on June 16, 1956; he preceded her in death on September 21, 2018. Before her marriage to Rev. Stults, she was a secretary for PennWalt in Philadelphia, and after her marriage she devoted her life to serving along side her husband, at all of their different church pastorates, as well as raising her family. Nancy and Rev. Stults served churches in Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, and Indiana. She enjoyed hosting the pastors and their wives at their church meetings, and she loved to sing. She was a soloist and also sang in many different church choirs. After moving to Peabody in 1995, Nancy was a full time caregiver for her husband. She loved to watch the birds, especially the cardinal. She also enjoyed being active in all of the Peabody activities and Chapel Services. Nancy was a member of the Riviera Presbyterian Church in Miami, Florida. She enjoyed reminiscing with her children and family by phone and face time.
She is survived by four children, John (Kathy) Stults of Redwood City, California, Kathryn (Karen Moyer) Stults of Miami, Florida, Andrew (Dominga) Stults of Columbus, Ohio, and Priscilla (George) Vallenas of Boyds, Maryland; four grandchildren, Michael (Faith) Stults, Carolyn (Jordan) Gonzalez, Brian (Shirley Nunez Chavez) Vallenas, and Janelle Stults; five great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Gonzalez, Judson Gonzalez, Fae-Rose Vallenas, John Stults, and Coralyn Stults. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her sister Barbara Bootman.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, July 14, 2025, at Peabody Chapel, 400 W. 7th St., North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 pm Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main Street, North Manchester, Indiana 46962.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peabody Caring Circle.
